The two deer, one male with the curving horn, and one female, are both reclining on a lotus base with the heads slightly turned upwards, equipped with a small tail, pricking ears and open eyes, both facing on either side the Wheel of Dharma, its eight spokes issued by the small central medallion engraved with the yin-yang symbol to one side and placed on a similarly cast lotus-base, inside of all three bases incised with the vishvavajra emblem.
Important German private collection, assembled in the 1970s and 80s, partly acquired by Schoettle Ostasiatische Kunst, Stuttgart.
MInor traces of age
